Things to Remember in Life

In spite of how beautiful life can be, there are also moments of loneliness, rash decision-making, and gloomy, seemingly hopeless hours. We all go through similar days in our lives where we are blinded from seeing the beauty that's right in front of us. Although some situations seem difficult for us to contend with at a particular moment in time, they actually enable us to learn from them later on, accepting them as little life lessons.
It’s easy to wake up every day and see all the negativity in the world, but sometimes you need to stop and look at the positive and remember that while life gets tough sometimes, it’s really not all bad. When it feels like everything’s getting on top of you,
 remember these 12 things:

1.The Past Cannot be ChangedThe past cannot be changed, forgotten, or erased. However, it can prepare you for a brighter future. The past is what it is. There is no changing it. We might not know everything, and new discoveries are constantly being made. But in your immediate past, you pretty much know what you did right, and what you should have not done, or done differently. If your past is full of great things, and you are happy, keep doing what you’re doing. Yes, try new things, and see if you get more or less of what you want, and make adjustments as appropriate. That’s how life goes, and how one gets better at anything.

2.Opinion Don't Define Your RealityEveryone is entitled to an opinion, but not all opinions should be shared. While some are kind, others, not so much. The negative opinions people have of someone effect their life more than the positive opinions. For the reason that people dwell on those negative opinions, which can hurt a person emotionally, mentally and physically. Many people desire to be perfect in everything that they do, while that is just unrealistic. It breaks my heart to see so many people in this world let the opinions of others define them, hold them back. You are much more than just someones opinion of you. The more you believe that opinion, the more you believe it's true. The mind is very powerful, it will believe almost anything you tell it to believe. Opinions lead to overthinking about oneself, overthinking leads to sadness. Never let someones opinion of you define who you are as a person. Prove them wrong, you are worth it. 💛

3. Everyone's Journey is Different- Everyone's life is different, Everyone's journey is different, Everyone's purpose is different. Everyone's meaning of life is different. Therefore we all are different. Some would have mountains they would have to cross. If you have ever been able to enjoy the mountains, you know that they are a lot of hard work to climb, but oooooooooooo soooo worth it when you arrive at the top! You stand there and take it all in. But you also know what is waiting for you... the descent. We wouldn't have mountains if we didn't have valleys. Those valleys make the mountain tops all worth it! If there weren't any valleys, we wouldn't have mountain tops either, then the road would be just like any other straight, boring road.

4.Things Always Get Better With Time- 'Things can only get better' is what we often say and expect when a situation has reached its lowest point and it looks as if things can't be worse. It means that we hope the situation improves. It is a form of encouragement as hope is the only thing you need to stand against any of life's challenges. People with hope can endure things beyond what those without can even imagine.

5. Judgements are a Confession of CharacterPeople do not seem to realize that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character. -Ralph Waldo Emerson Ever since I can across this quote it has been one of my favorites and it has colored all my social interactions. I am now convinced the reactions in social situations say a whole lot more about the people doing the reacting than it does about the people they are reacting to. Sure the person tweeting something stupid, is probably a little naive. Maybe even a little unpleasant. But the people who immediately assume they are a horrible person for doing something stupid, are most likely just horrible people themselves.

6. Overthinking will Lead to Sadness

Whether they beat themselves up over a mistake they made yesterday or fret about how they’re going to succeed tomorrow, overthinkers are plagued by distressing thoughts—and their inability to get out of their own heads leaves them in a state of constant anguish. Studies
also show that overthinking leads to serious emotional distress. To escape that distress, many overthinkers resort to unhealthy coping strategies, such as alcohol or food.
If you’re an overthinker, you likely already know you can’t sleep when your mind won’t shut off. Studies confirm this, finding that rumination and worry lead to fewer hours of sleep and poorer sleep quality.

7. Happiness is Found Within- It is very common in these days a lot of people in their search for happiness, search for it not within themselves but in other people and in material things. Many of them assume that things such as a good job, more money, better relationships and others will give them the happiness that they are searching for. But, the truth is, we can only find true happiness and contentment if we look within ourselves and we learn how to be our self’s best friend. Even if our experience of happiness sometimes appears to be coming from an outer source or event, the true happiness is comming from within us.

8. Positive Thoughts Creates Positive ThingsWhen you think and talk about what you want and how to get it, you feel happier and in greater control of your life. When you think about something that makes you happy, your brain actually releases endorphins, which give you a generalized feeling of well-being. As a result, you develop a positive attitude. if you are looking for something good or beneficial in a person or situation, you will always find it.  And while you are looking, you will be a more positive and cheerful person.

9. Smiles are Contagious-  A warm, friendly, excepting smile can go a long way and is also part of the healing process. A smile is generally an expression of positive emotions, which can uplift a soul, who in turn passes that energy to another. Smile! It makes everyone in the room feel better because they, consciously or unconsciously, are smiling with you. Growing evidence shows that an instinct for facial mimicry allows us to empathize with and even experience other people's feelings. If we can't mirror another person's face, it limits our ability to read and properly react to their expressions.

10. Kindness is Free- Be patient as we dig a little bit into the nature of the things about which you ask. An act can never mean everything because it flows from a being. What means everything is therefore rooted in being. An act of kindness is a response to a value or a recognized good, specifically a value that draws empathy and compassion. So not only is being prior to kindness but the faculty to understand the state of another is prior to the act of kindness. Now there is no force that can command us to be kind so it also flows from a free choice…the choices being kindness, indifference and cruelty.

11. You Fail Only if You Quit- To be a successful entrepreneur you are going to have to learn to deal with failure. After all, if you are taking massive action in your business you will experience some failure. The ONLY difference between those who are successful and those who are not is that those who are successful get up one more time after they fall down.Without the failure we’re just playing it safe. We’re sitting in our comfy armchairs always knowing that we’ll succeed at what we never really try anything new. We’re never extending ourselves into the unknown reaches of what we’re capable of.

12. What Goes Around Comes Around- If someone treats other people badly he or she will eventually be treated badly by someone elseYou should not mistreat them. What goes around comes around.

Everything we say and do determines what’s going to happen to us in the future. Whether we act honestly, dishonestly, help or hurt others, it all gets recorded and manifests as a karmic reaction either in this life or a future life. All karmic records are carried with the soul into the next life and body.
